May Flower Jars - Part One - Supplies

I have wanted to share these ideas for making May Flower Jars to deliver to friends/family on May 1st. Who wouldn't love to surprise someone or be surprised with a pretty little floral piece. These jars are so much fun and easy to make too. I wanted to start this project early enough so
you have time to save up some jars to decorate.
Supplies will include: Jars, decorative papers - including gift wrap, embossed wallpaper or scrapbook papers, decoupage glue, hot glue, ribbons and trims, paper cutouts, tags to write a message, wire for handle, and of course fresh flowers to fill your jars.

I am originally from the mid-west and we always did the May Day thing when I was growing up. We have a family near us that carries on that lovely tradition and every May 1st we hear our doorbell ring. Surprise, on our porch, are some lovely May flowers!

Thanks for reminding me about this tradition, I'd love to do it this year!

Hi Dawn...
Well I didn't take Miss Hayleigh, she was at school. She loves vintage, but I think it was a little too vintage for her.lol I showed her the picks of some of the dresses and she doesn't think she would like any.. We might order off line. She found some great vintage inspired shops. Wish us luck, she is PICKY!
