I am so excited to come to my 50th post. And just want to say that I love blogland and all of the great creative people I have met.
This week's feature is one of my favorites, Tablescapes! I have talked before about how I like to use hat boxes under the second layer of fabric to lift the platters off the table. Once the serving pieces are placed, the fun begins!
For this one, I used lots of berry and pinecone rings and pics to add some interest.
Choose a dramatic centerpiece for your table.
And fill in with fresh greenery (sprayed with glitter of course) from your yard if possible.
Try to use some color coordinated platters and bowls too.
You can use something different, like these mini urns for your utensils. This bowl is more interesting on a pedestal with a pinecone berry ring.
Now I have taken the same tablescape, left all of the shades of white and changed from burgandies, greens and gold to pinks and silver. Which do you prefer?
The dessert station.
What's nice too, is that any of these ideas can be used on a much smaller scale, like just for a cocktail party or dessert station.
So if your dinner is going to be a sit down, here are some simpler centerpiece ideas.
White roses with fresh canberries in a trifle bowl. Love this one! Looks perfect with just a few candles on the table.
A low lying arrangement like this one allows you to see your guests accross the table.
And finally, some staggered candles and mini trees make a very pretty table.
Please send me an email if you need any ideas for creating your own tablescape.

Dawn! Your tablescapes are just lovely and I want to be invited to your next dinner party. Just thought I would add that I have done this idea, but I substituted my cooking pots of different heights under the cloth since I don't have that many hat boxes! Thanks for letting us browse your talent and I love the white w/the pink accents!! Angie

Gorgeous Arrangements....
Dawn, I received my order yesterday, and your arrangements, if possible, are even more attractive in hand than they look on the site. However, every picture for your listings is a great representation of the actual item. As for your blog page, there are soo many ideas, I can't wait to start decorating! Good Luck to all with the giveaway!
I really love the roses & cranberries centerpiece Dawn! Simple yet elegant. I think I may use that for our table this Christmas so the centerpiece can actually stay on the table during dinner without taking up too much valuable space. Thanks for the idea! Lovely photos as always!!!
I'd love to win the trees - so count me in :~)

Hi! Dawn..I tried to post a comment on your lovely table settings & got an error msg! I can't do it..waaa!..maybe something to ck out!
have a great day,
Cindy:)
Well Dawn, I came over to your site to see what kind of items you sell last night & was here forever! (saw your site at Shabby Chic/Sandy's blog) After making my 'choices' of what I couldn't live without, I went to bed. Got up this morning & had to come back and what do I find but a contest! Whoopee! Sign me up! Count me in! I'd love to be included!
I've got to say that in addition to everything else, I'm really busy admiring that little pink reindeer (looks a bit like a piece of hand-carved wood) in your centerpiece, as well as what appears to be a cast iron birdie - I adore the birds! Leslie
Dawn, You are so talented....your tablescapes are to die for!! I bet your guests are so impressed!! Also looking forward to your Dec. Friday features!
